Jennifer Lopez Not In Talks Jenni Rivera Biopic; Concert Movie For Late Star May Be In The Works (Source)

Contrary to online reports claiming Jennifer Lopez is in talks to produce and/or star in a Jenni Rivera biopic, the actress is not looking to secure the rights to the story of the late Mexican-American superstar.

"The J.Lo rumor is not true," a source close to the Rivera family tells Access Hollywood.

While Lopez - whose new show, "The Fosters," was recently picked up by ABC Family -- is not currently involved, a concert movie featuring Rivera may be in the works.

The source told Access there has been talk of releasing a film featuring the late star's last concert in Monterrey, Mexico (filmed the night before the fateful plane crash), much like the release of "This Is It," following Michael Jackson's death.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Rivera's show, "I Love Jenni" is carrying on.

The third season of her MUN2 reality series, which features footage shot the month before her death, will premiere on the network on April 14 at 9/8c.

Rivera died in a plane crash in early December. She was 43.
