Jennifer Lopez Announces New Show With MTV

Doesnt Jennifer Lopezalready have enough on her plate as a judge on American Idol, a talent scout on QViva! The Chosenwith Marc Anthonyand a new relationship with Casper Smart? Apparently, she still has plenty of room for new projects. It has just announced that shell be producing a new television show with MTV! Read on for all the details on the new scriptedseries (yep, no judges panel here!) that J.Los working on.

According to The Hollywood Reporter,Jennifer Lopezis tied a new MTV show. She will be producing a new series for Musica y Mas, the cable network targeting the Hispanic millennial generation and wasformerly known as MTV Tres.

The show will be calledAmigas Inc., an aspirational eight-episode television se! ries tha t chronicles the lives of four entrepreneurial Miami teenagers who launch a party-planning business to throw their perfect 15th birthday parties, also known as their Quinceneras. Author Jane Startz (Ella Enchanted, Tuck Everlasting)created the Amigas, Inc. book series and characters, and used Jennifer Lopez as inspiration.

Lopez will serve as executive producer along with Startz and Simon Fields.

Im so excited to bring the Amigas series to television and to share the rich cultural experiences of being a Latino that are universal to us all, said Lopez. I hope that this series will entertain audiences and inspire my fans to pursue their own dreams.

The series will launch in the fall. United Entertainment will take on a producing role along withLopezs Nuyorican Productions and Jane Startz Productions.
