Jennifer Lopez and dancer Casper Smart haven't confirmed their romance, but in a new Tweet posted Wednesday Smart seems to be defending the couples age difference.

Smart, who is 18 years younger than Lopez, does not mention the American Idol judge by name, but he writes on Twitter, "Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant. Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite."

Proclaiming in his post, "Ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining," Smart, 24, goes on to say that everyone should indulge in their "passion and dreams."

The inspirational message, which ended with, "Close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy," was re-Tweeted by Lopez, 42.

Explains Smart of the post, "Good friend sent it for me and thought it was beautiful and perfect!!! #truth."
