Jennifer Lopez tells Matt Lauer during interview, 'I want to kill you'

Jennifer Lopez has remained relatively mum about her divorce from Marc Anthony aside from a Vanity Fair article and Matt Lauer learned why one shouldn't push the singer's boundaries on the "Today" show on Monday.

"Matt, I'm going to kill you right now," Lopez told the anchor. "Everything I wanted to say about the divorce I said in that article. And Marc and I agreed that we're not gonna talk about it publicly again because it really is our personal lives."

Lopez opened up to Vanity Fair about the divorce in August, telling the fashion magazine, "To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself - if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me."

Lopez and Anthony, her husband of seven years announced in July that they were breaking up, but they did not specify a reason for the split. The two married in June 2004 and their twin son and daughter, Max and Emme, were born in February 2008.

"We have children and it's some! thing th at we just have to respect and keep sacred... It's not the easiest thing in the world but we handled it with a lot of grace, a lot of caring and a lot of love."

The former couple's new reality talent show, "Q'Viva: The Chosen" is set to premiere on January 28 on Univision. An English version of the show is set to air on Fox later this year.

"Marc and I were friends before we got married," Lopez told Lauer of continuing the series after their divorce. "We were friends for years. And we always loved each other, and we always worked together. So it wasn't like an unnatural thing to keep working together."

Lopez is reportedly dating Casper Smart, a 24-year-old back up dancer who performed with her at the American Music Awards.

When Lauer asked Lopez if she thought she would get married again, she said, "I don't know... It's not time to think about that."

The 11th season of "American Idol" premiered earlier in the month. Pre-taped, preliminary tryouts are being shown ahead of the live shows, which will air in several weeks. The finalists have already been chosen but have not been revealed.

The first episode of the current season of "American Idol" was watched by 21.6 million viewers and earned a 7.2 rating among adults aged 18 to 49, marking the lowest ratings given for an "American Idol" premiere since its debut episode in 2002.
