American Idol - Jennifer Lopez Narrowly Avoids Kiss On American Idol

On last night's episode of American Idol, judge Jennifer Lopez narrowly avoided a passionate kiss from one of the contestants. Heejun Haw told the cameras that if he was eliminated from the show at this stage, he would make sure that he hugged and kissed Jennifer Lopez before he left because "that's every Asian man's dream right there." Lopez got a lucky escape, though because Heejun was one of the lucky few that got a free pass to the next round.

Last night's episode didn't include a huge amount of singing, preferring instead to engage the viewers by focusing on the contestants backstories. Each contestant took the long walk to the stage at Le Reve theatre in Las Vegas where they were faced with the decision from the judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler and - according to Abc News - "tried not to be distracted by the fact that the reflections of the water and lights off of J-Lo's sequined dress were turning her chin green."

14 contestants received the good news that they would be going through to the next round, including four contestants who had returned after unsuccessful attempts in previous years. Another ten will be announced will be announced tonight (Thursday February 23, 2012). Viewers will find out tonight if Adam Brock was one of those lucky ten; last night's show ended on a cliffhanger, with Adam waiting to hear his fate.
