Jennifer Lopez denies getting hotel maid fired

Jennifer Lopez is firing back at reports that she had a hotel maid in Germany fired because the maid had asked her for an autograph.

As reported by the German newspaper Bild and the UK Newspaper The Daily Mail, a 43-year-old woman named Pray Dodaj, who worked at the Melia Dusseldorf in Germany, reportedly knocked on the door of the singer's room to try to ask the Lopez for an autograph. Dodaj was turned away by two of Lopez's assistants.

The following day, Dodaj allegedly received a phone call from her employer and was fired after the company claimed Lopez complained about being disturbed.

Dodaj reportedly told the German Newspaper that she is "an incredibly big fan."

The hotel director, Cyrus Heydarian, said in response to the firing, "She [Dodaj] has acted contrary to the contractual arrangements and disturbed the privacy of our guests."

Lopez, 43, took to her official Twitter page on November 6 to deny the report and claimed that the first she even heard of the incident was on the social networking site.

"C'mon thought you knew me better than this.. Would never get anyone fired over an autograph," Lopez wrote. "1st I heard of this was on twitter. #hurtful."

Since the German newspaper's report on November 1 about the alleged firing, Dodaj has been hired at another hotel in Germany, according to a November 6 report from Bild.

Lopez is currently on her world tour h! as upcomi! ng dates in Finland, Russia, Ukraine and Turkey.
