PHOTO: Jennifer Lopez Wears a $2.1 Million Ring on American Idol

Were not fooled by this rock: on Wednesdays episode of American Idol, Jennifer Lopez seriously caught our eyes with her fancy yellow-diamond ring by Cora jewelers a sparkler that comes with a $2.1 million price tag.
The 50.40-carat bauble set in 18-karat yellow gold and ebony wood will soon be available for purchase on the jewelers site. (Any takers?) The gem itself came from Africa; after it was found it was flown to New York where experts carefully sculpted and polished the diamond, preparing it for certification from the Gemological Institute of America.
According to Cora, colored diamonds are quite rare especially in such a large size. So once the stone was perfected, jewelers chose to mount it on ebony, something that was also from nature, just like the gem, a Cora rep tells PEOPLE. And then, it ended up in Los Angeles and on Lopezs right hand Wednesday.
