Jennifer Lopez: 'Motherhood is my top priority'

Jennifer Lopez has said that being a good mother is her top priority.

The singer was asked which aspect of her life gives her the most enjoyment while speaking to MTV News.

"[Being a] mommy," she answered. "It's just the one thing you don't want to mess up You can mess up in all other areas and get back up, but you don't want to mess up there."

Lopez added that her children are able to brighten her mood even in the worst of times.

"They're so precious to you and they make everything better in my life," she explained. "They make me feel better every single day. Definitely, [motherhood is] the most important thing."

The 'Goin' In' singer recently quit American Idol after two seasons at a judge, indicating that she wants to focus on more film work.

Lopez is currently on a co-headlining summer tour with Enrique Iglesias. They play the Verizon Centre in Washington DC on Saturday (July 28).
