Hot Tours: Madonna, Enrique Iglesias & Jennifer Lopez, Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw

Madonna claims the top ranking on the latest Hot Tours ranking with box office stats reported from the final month of her MDNA tour's European leg. With more than 307,000 fans in attendance at the last 11 Euro performances, ticket revenue totaled more than $36 million. Included in the mix was a rare club performance by the legendary pop artist at L'Olympia Bruno Coquatrix in Paris on July 26 with a packed house of 2,576. The largest crowd on the European swing was in Finland with 42,760 in attendance at Helsinki's Olympic Stadium on August 12.

Madonna Goes Wild at U.S. Launch of MDNA Tour

Since kicking off in late May, the MDNA Tour has played 33 concerts in 21 countries before wrapping its European leg on August 21 at the Stade Charles-Ehrmann in Nice, France. Overall gross revenue from the tour climbed to $115.7 million from the May 31 launch through the end of the European schedule. The tour's North American leg began just one week later with a performance in Philadelphia on August 28. Dates are scheduled in North and South America until late December.

Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez land at No. 2 among this week's top 10 grossing tours with the first box office totals reported from their summer co-headlining effort that began on July 14 in Montreal. With ticket sales totals reported from the first 12 arenas on the itinerary, revenue topped $12.7 million from 164,481 sold seats at 15 concerts. The first three venues on the tour hosted the Latin pop stars for two performances Montreal's Bell Centre on July 14-15, Air Canada Centre in Toronto on July 17-18 and the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. with shows on July 20-21. A! mong the venues with single shows, Chicago's United Center produced the top gross and attendance totals with more than $1 million in ticket sales from a sellout crowd of 12,403 on August 3.

Country artists Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, come in third on the Hot Tours chart this week, having wrapped their 22-city co-headlining tour with two sold out performances at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. on August 24-25, amassing more than $9.9 million in ticket sales from a crowd that totaled 111,209 over both nights. The box office numbers top the gross and attendance totals from Chesney's 2011 two-show stint at the home stadium of the NFL's New England Patriots. Last year his Goin' Coastal Tour played to 106,755 fans with $9.2 million in revenue. Gillette Stadium has become a regular destination for Kenny Chesney tours since his first headlining concert there in July of 2005. Except for his 2010 hiatus from stadium touring, he has played to sellout crowds at Gillette every year since 2005, with two-show engagements the past two years. In nine sold out concerts almost half a million New England-area fans have spent more than $41 million at the box office to see the country music icon.
