Celebrity home front: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez is moving to a considerably more upmarket block than the Bronx where she grew up following her split from husband Marc Anthony.

J-lo has put a 18m dollar bid on a 14,000 sq ft Hamptons home in New York.

The spectacular Bay Lane property is teeming with luxury trappings, with bay views and a massive lawn.

She will relocate from the West Coast and her Californian marital home to the East Coast, to the architect-designed home which has seven-bedrooms and 10-bathrooms, if her bid is accepted.

The suitably starry pad also has an elegant driveway with a rotunda-style foyer, while inside expect limestone floors and a sweeping curved staircase.

Peter Crouch

It's celebrity house-swap time... England footballer Peter Crouch has moved from his premiership pad to Andrew Flintoffs Cheshire mansion.

The Crouch clan, which includes wife Abbey and their six-month-old daughter Sophia, are renting the former England cricketers 4.5m mansion.

Peter and the family had to go house-hunting following his transfer to Stoke City from former club Tottenham Hotspur.

The six-bedroom bolthole boasts a gym, cinema room, swimming pool and is in Prestbury, an area popular with many footballers.

Fellow WAG Coleen Rooney lives nearby if Abbey needs any company. And Rio Ferdinand is a neighbour too.

Other fab features at this house include a dressing room and is ultra-luxurious inside.

And there is no shortage of family space with 10,200 sq ft of house which is close to Manchester for shopping while being near Liverpool, where Abbey grew up.

Freddie Flintoff bought the plot which the house now stands on for 1.85m, demolished an old house there and built the new property for his wife Rachel and their three children.

Having failed previously to sell the house when it went onto the market at 5m, the Flintoffs decided to let it out.

Michael and Anne Fitzgerald

!

While many of us are agog at the period splendour at Downton Abbey , a more humble home near the TV manor is for sale.

Just down the road from Highclere Castle, TVs Downton Abbey, is a rather amazing warehouse conversion. It has been owned since 1991 by Michael and Anne Fitzgerald .

It was the estate agents who decided to call it a barn conversion, says Anne. We are happy to say we lived in a tin shack.

The converted property has 1,700 sq ft of living space and a three-quarter-mile driveway, with a price tag of 1.6m.
