Marc Anthony s alleged jealousy of Jennifer Lopez s fame caused split

Donald Trump and daughter Ivanka were at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago on Tuesday.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony carefully worked out their divorce in a civil manner, but a few details have surfaced shedding light on the real reasons for the couples surprise split.

A big sticking point apparently was Anthonys desire to live in South America, where his stardom largely eclipses J. Los. Lopez, perhaps not surprisingly, had no intention of living there for a minimum of six months as her husband was demanding.

In general, it was the couples competing careers and Anthonys deep-seated jealousy of his wifes huge U.S. popularity that became an overwhelming obstacle to the marriage remaining intact.

Marc was very proud of Jennifers success, but it also really bothered him that so many people particularly in Hollywood and even in Miami thought of him as kind of a Mr. Jennifer Lopez, said a J. Lo insider.

This is all very complicated, because both of them are so devoted to their children. ... The marriage lasted a couple of years longer than it would have, due to those babies being born.

Ivanka said she wished my father was still in the race [for president]. We would be better off if he had stayed in. As for the economy, the Donald believes a year from now we likely will be in about the same place we are today. Some think well be doing better. Some say well be doing worse. No one really knows.
