Jennifer Lopez Has 'Learned Her Lesson' After Divorce From Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez has admitted that she has now "learnt the biggest lesson" with her divorce from Marc Anthony after seven years together.

The American Idol judge, who announced the split from Anthony in July, has confessed that she was not "comfortable" in her own skin which meant that the end of her relationship was inevitable.

"I think I've finally learnt the biggest lesson of all," she told Glamour. "You've got to love yourself first. You've got to be okay on your own before you can be okay with somebody else."

The mother-of-two also added: "You've got to value yourself and know that you're worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can't really have a healthy relationship."

But the singer-actress revealed that she does hope to find a new man, but wants it to be away from the prying eyes of the public.

Lopez, who has been linked to fellow Hollywood star Bradley Cooper, also added: "I think to give something a chance, to really get to know somebody, you want to do it out of the public eye. You know the media - they want to rush everything."
