Jennifer Lopez lets emotions flow at Glamour Awards

The newly single mom of two looked absolutely radiant on the red carpet of this years Glamour Women of the Year Awards in NYC.

The 42-year old star wore a pale gray Atelier Versace gown and chose jewelry by Harry Winston.

According to UsMagazine, Lopez, who was an honoree, looked surprisingly nervous when she reached the podium.

After a tough year and her split from husband of seven years, Marc Anthony, it seemed as if this award and the night in general just overwhelmed her.

However, she was still able to pull it together and left the women with some wonderful encouraging words and opened up about what gets her through the tough times.

Its the women. Through the ups and not so ups thats the one thing that got me through. My grandmother, who taught me how to cook and not be afraid and to serve and be humble. And to go out looking nice because people like that and they respect you.

NZ Herald News reported that the other women honored that night were Jennifer Aniston, former first lady Laura Bush, Arianna Huffington, and Gloria Steinem.
