American Idol: Jennifer Lopez wants higher salary than Britney Spears?
A source has claimed that the 'On the Floor' singer wants a payday that outdoes that of Britney Spears's $15m (9.6m) X Factor deal.
"J.Lo and American Idol are striving for headlines. Along with it being 'strictly business', she is also for sure wanting more money than Britney Spears to return," the insider told Hollywood Life.
"She is not signed for next year but nothing is better in [executive producer] Nigel [Lythgoe's] eyes than people talking about American Idol and who the judges will be all summer. Look what it did with The X Factor!"
Lopez's alleged demand follows a report that emerged earlier this week, stating that Spears reportedly insisted her X Factor salary be higher than Lopez's before signing on for the series.
The 42-year-old mother of two recently said that she is uncertain about her future on American Idol, though she insisted that she loves her role as a judge.
